Title: Involvement of Math
Post by: MK52 on June 07, 2007, 03:23:18 AM
Hi, I'm currently a middle school student (8th Grade) and was considering anesthesiology as a possible field to get into when i grow up. But I'm also really good at math and I surprisingly like it. So I was wondering how much math is involved in anesthesiology, if any at all and figured you guys could help me out here. Thanks a lot for any feedback.

a wee bit but not much
but there is alot of protocols in anaes that sound like rules in mathematics
Maybe research into some aspects of anaesthesiology like pharmacokinetics may be based on mathematical models
Statistics is another branch of maths that has application in all the research work we do
hope this feedback is useful to you
