Title: ARDS following blood transfusion in polytrauma.

Is there any reason that multiple blood transfusions in pre-op stage in pts. of multiple fractures leads to ARDS.we are seeing many pts. going in ARDS if given 2-3 blood transfusions preoperativly.

not only pre op

mutiple blood transfusion atleast 1.5 to 2 times the blood volume of the pt.

Both multi trauma and blood transfusions lead to ARDS.
