How do you get the best value for your CME money? Listen to your colleagues.  procrna.com has a meeting review page that is gaining popularity among the readers.  Read the reviews and see which meetings have the best speakers in the best locations.  When you go to a meeting, post a review.  To read meeting reviews, go to http://www.procrna.com/category/meeting-review/

Last post by NOMOREGAS - April 29, 2013, 10:47:00 AM
Hi There,
recently the use of ketamine has renewed the interest of anesthesiologists.
I would like to share with somebody some protocols in the induction of general anesthesia or for sedation in outpatient.
Do you feel the avalaible of BIS strictly mandatory?

Anesthesia care based on patient safety and satisfaction are essential in today's workplace.  Patients deserve the best that anesthetists have to offer, including their full attention.  Lawyers are aware of distractions caused by mobile devices and the AANA has published a position statement regarding their use.  PROCRNA.com has published an article related to smartphone use in the operating room.   Click the URL below to review the article.

General Discussion / Becoming an anesthesiologist?
Last post by prlg87 - April 12, 2013, 09:38:18 AM
I am preparing to take my MCAT this summer and I know it is a bit early to even think about a specialty yet, but I wanted to know if I should even consider to specialize in this field. My problem with choosing the right path for me involves a genetic disorder that I have had since I was born. I have trouble with some very fine motor skills but other than that I am no longer affected by it. I was curious how often very fine motor skills would be needed in this field / would I be capable with this hindrance.
