So this is VERY last minute because my mom just got off the phone with the doctor, and he wants to make a last minute change.

Background: My mom has Angioedema - Idiopathic Form.

Tomorrow she is supposed to have rotator cuff surgery. The new anesthesiologist wants to use nerve block instead of general anesthesia. My mom is thinking that might be too dangerous and would rather have GA and is now very nervous as to which is right.

Absolutely any insight anyone could share would be tremendously appreciated.

Thanks!

Can you cite some literature to support that?

Especially the "ALWAYS" part.
